Well...one of my favorite Rangers was traded away today, Mark Teixeira. It's a sad day, the man played my position (other than pitcher) and wore my number. Misty gave me a nice Tex jersey a couple Christmases ago. So I got Ryan one when he was born and we took this picture at our first game together. And Misty blew it up into a poster on for my office wall. It will forever be a great memory, just too bad we can wear our Tex gear to the Ballpark anymore.
Good news though, the guy we got back has the longest name in the history of the MLB, so that might be a cool jersey..ha. Jerrod Saltalamacchia. It is sad to see Tex go, but it had to be done, he wasn't going to stay here and likes those Yankee people up north, so see ya Tex! Now its time to watch the future of the Rangers out there and see if we can finally start contending....
