Just as I thought the week couldn't drag on any further, I get an e-mail from my good man Jamey Newberg alerting me of a trade. The Rangers obviously need pitching help, and today acquired a starter, Adam Eaton, a Japanese set-up man and a minor leaguer for Adrian Gonzalez, Termel Sledge and shockingly Chris Young, a starter of our own, who I like. You hate to give up a pitcher to get a pitcher and there are many reasons to like this trade and dislike this trade. Bad thing is Eaton is a free agent after this year and could cost us some bucks to keep. Chris Young is a little younger and will be here for 4 more years. But I think Eaton has better stuff and is better. Young's durability is a question mark. Plus we get another bullpen arm, which is very important. Adrian is very good, but we couldn't play him anywhere because of my man-crush, TEX. Sledge is the 7th best of our 7 outfielders..who cares. So thumbs up for me. Let's shake this rotation up a bit. What drives me crazy is how people FREAK OUT over these things. Take a level headed approach and wait and see. My man JD is not done making deals yet. We have Kevin Millwood in town today talking contract. We may still have hope of have a solid if not good rotation and making a run at this thing...fingers are crossed. Oh, and Clemens may be thinking Ranger blue this January...pinch me now.
By the way ESPN.com just pisses me off. They give you nice teases of great articles and information and say...oh wait.. you have to pay for it. Screw that....ugh....
One more thing...when it rains or snows in the Metroplex, the world is ending. Last week all the newspapers and tv stations talked about "WINTER STORM 2005!!!" We had a little sleet. Today it's raining and people get flippin stupid. When it rains, slow down don't speed up morons.
AND...Why does 40 degrees feel like 20 now, and when I lived in Amarillo 40 wasn't bad? I've been Dallas Sissyfied.

well, i totally agree with you, it was just hard to handle the fact they were giving up young, but it should be for the better. i am just happy they aren't sitting on their hands and are actually atempting and making deals
You sure got that last statement correct!
