Big Comeback

So after 2 consecutive rain outs and intermittent rain and a big time threat of yesterday, we finally got our first game in. Everyone was ready to roll. We jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after the top of the inning and then in nice rusty form gave up 12 runs in the bottom half of the first. Not a good way to start. The wind was blowing, it was already almost 10pm and what did we do? We chipped away, 3 runs here and 2 runs there and played good D. Then, the top of the last inning, we completed the comeback and won 22-16. How about that? After a few seasons we are gelling and doing some good things, should be a fun year. I'll try not and mention my grand slam HR to put us ahead 18-16 and the opposing team calling me Mr. Grand Slam, that would seem a bit arrogant right? Ha...fun night when everyone plays well and hits well. 22 runs is a great way to start........

After all these teachers and students, etc are on Spring Break, I thought I'd take a big fat day off on Friday and head to Austin for Easter. We are bound to have some egg hunting fun with the big man.

...and it's pouring rain, props to the big man upstairs holding it off for us to get that win.....
