This blogging thing can really sneak up on you in the fact that you can get behind easily. Things are really starting to lean towards the busy side for us. A quite a bit has happened since my last posting like a month ago.
The Vince Young euphoria has subsided quite a bit. The NFL is winding down to Super Bowl XL. My pick? I'm gonna roll with the Steelers, love Ben R, Bettis, and Hines Ward and CO. The Seahawks are... well, from Seattle and are far to close to the Mariners, if that's not enough to root against them I don't know what is...gotta bust out my terrible towel this weekend. Unfortunately, with the winding down of football season, talk radio and ESPN is left with NBA and NHL. Love the Mavs, but wake me up in June when the games get exciting. Stars? They are good, but hockey man...ug. I really think watching your generic soap opera is a no brainer over Hockey on TV or radio ...Alas, In the distance, there is a light, the light of spring training and opening day. Spent this last Saturday morning at the good ol' Ballpark, wandering around and getting autographs. There is a different excitement around the Ballpark this year, players seem ready to roll more so this year than last. I'm ready baby, 2 weeks until Pitchers and catchers report, and 2 months until Millwood (or The Rocket) throws out the first pitch against the whiney Red Sox (who just traded their 2 best prospects for Coco Crisp)? Brilliant. Anyway, I digress. Baseball is in the air, we are getting close.
That's right 1 month away assuming an on time delivery. Geez. We are ready. Good ol' PawPaw and Nana Williams made a quick trip up this weekend to help complete the final piece to the baby's room, hang a SWEET baseball fan (given to us by Great Grandmother Blair). Can't think of much more of a beating than hanging a fan, but we got it done. Now all we need is a baby. We have been so very blessed with all of the gifts we have received for us and the baby. We have such great people surrounding us, and we are truly thankful. We are definitely on the final lap. I'm ready man...This is gonna be fun, challenging, but fun.
Came across the Bible verse today in my financial Bible study we are doing. Really stuck out to me. We all worry about the little things so much. God knows what we need and he'll take care of us, we just have to let him be in control and let tomorrow worry about tomorrow. God always seems to have the right thing to say at the right time.......

My advice for sports in the wintertime (post football) is to focus completely on the greatest show of all time, featuring the greatest hero of our generation, of course I am talking about Jack Bauer. You should just let Ryan watch 24, he will learn everything he needs to know about life from it, terrorists suck at everything except causing terror, and everyone cracks once you threaten to poke their eye out.
Looking forward to March. Good luck with everything.
Love
Matt
I think you have hit the nail on the head bud. I will take your advice and focus on learning to be Jack Bauer. This dead time will give me a good chance to do that. And he's just a badass, that's all I can say, and yes everyone cracks with a knife heading towards your eye...love it!
March is going to be crazy...can't wait either.
well, i would have to agree with matts asessment of letting ryan grow up on 24...i haven't missed a show in the 5 years it has been on, and i must say, i'm turning into a badass myself (ha) anyways, i know your busy so i won't hold it against ya when you don't post, but try to keep it up, its always good to hear what you have to say
later man
reid (but you can just call me jack bauer, or j.b. for short)
Who's Jack Bauer?
Zane Oliver has to be the DUMBEST person in the entire world for not knowing who the daddy of all daddy's is...JACK BAUER!!!
